Living Without the Noise
Yesterday, I discussed with my partner how we live our lives. In the last six months, the world seems to have reached boiling point, with conflicts in the Middle East and on our doorstep in Europe.
Yet, we’ve chosen not to tune into mainstream media. We’ve literally rolled with our own lives.
During my daily commute I often see people reading the free papers (seldom do they take them with them, that’s another story) and I wonder, what are you getting from reading negative headlines? It’s a personal choice.
But as someone who once tuned into Channel 4’s flagship news bulletin, I found the experience tiresome.
Commuting can be tiresome, but writing Nothing Much Happens gives me purpose and aids my mental wellbeing.
It’s a form of time well spent. Quiet. Creative. Grounding. I love it, and my partner, and number one supporter also enjoys my work. Win, win!
So it begs the question, how efficient are we with our time? Do we fill it with purpose, or just noise?
When was the last time you truly disconnected and noticed how that made you feel?

Last year☺️ I dont watch The news☺️
